Third Annual Cities Mission Conference in Valencia

The Third Annual Cities Mission Conference focused on the Climate-Neutral and Smart Cities Mission, concluded successfully on June 26 in Valencia. Organised by the European Commission and NetZeroCities, the event gathered mayors, practitioners, and representatives from the 112 Mission Cities, aiming to propel their journey toward climate neutrality.

The conference featured a variety of engaging workshops, policy sessions, and strategy meetings centred on the implementation of Climate City Contracts and urban sustainability initiatives. The marketplace exhibition area was a key attraction, where numerous organisations and projects showcased their efforts and achievements in the pursuit of realising more sustainable cities.

Among the participants, the TIPs4PED (Turning cities planning
actions for positive energy
districts into success) project was well represented by Marina Focarile of RINA Consulting within the marketplace, contributing to the dynamic exchange of ideas and fostering collaboration. Attendees had the opportunity to visit the TIPs4PED stand, learn more about the project and explore the innovative approaches that will be taken to investigate scalable and easily reproducible technologies and digital optimisation strategies to deliver positive energy districts within urban environments.
