TIPS4PED Partner in the Spotlight: CluBE

The transition towards climate-neutral and energy-efficient cities requires strong collaboration among local authorities, research organisations, businesses and innovation ecosystems. As an active partner in the Horizon Europe project TIPS4PED, CluBE plays a key role in supporting this transformation.

Based in Kozani, Region of Western Macedonia, CluBE is a regional innovation cluster dedicated to promoting sustainability, the bioeconomy, clean energy and environmental transition. Over the years, it has developed extensive expertise in supporting energy transition initiatives, smart specialisation strategies and collaborative innovation projects at both national and European level.

Through its strong regional network, CluBE fosters cooperation among public authorities, research institutions, businesses and citizens, ensuring that local needs and perspectives are reflected in project activities. CluBE plays an important role in raising awareness and encouraging citizen participation in the clean energy transition, contributing to a more inclusive and people-centred approach to sustainable urban development through communication, networking and knowledge-sharing activities.

Within the TIPS4PED consortium, CluBE leads and supports activities related to stakeholder engagement, communication and dissemination, ecosystem activation and the replication of project solutions. Its contribution is closely linked to the ongoing transformation of Western Macedonia, a region transitioning from a lignite-based economy towards a greener and more sustainable development model.

Through its participation in TIPS4PED, CluBE reinforces its commitment to supporting smart, resilient and climate-neutral cities while contributing to Europe’s broader green transition goals.
