EUSEW 2026: Why Positive Clean Energy Districts Matter: Building Europe’s Clean Energy Future
The recording of the European Sustainable Energy Week (EUSEW) 2026 webinar, Why Positive Clean Energy Districts matter: Building Europe’s clean energy future, is now available to watch online.
During the webinar, representatives from ASCEND, NEUTRALPATH, BIPED Energy, ExPEDite and TIPS4PED explored how Positive Clean Energy Districts (PCEDs) can support Europe’s transition towards climate-neutral cities.
The discussion highlighted the practical challenges of scaling PCEDs beyond individual pilot projects, emphasizing the importance of governance, financing, data management and citizen engagement alongside technological innovation. Speakers also stressed that replication must be considered from the outset, with cities preparing future districts while current projects are still under development.
The session provided valuable insights from projects and cities across Europe that are working to accelerate the deployment of sustainable, integrated district solutions.
